The new CONT.AIR is a handheld particle counter designed for cleanroom monitoring, industrial and health&safety applications, research and indoor air quality
- This instrument is used to detect, count and size the aerosol particles present in the air. Unlike a microbial air sampler, which gives the number and the type of micro-organism captured on the agar plate, the particle counter gives the number, and the size of the no-viable particles present in the air. These particles can be the transport agents for viable ones (micro-organisms).
- Light, ergonomic and easy to use as a portable device.
- The instrument is patented.
- The instrument detects particles in a range from 0.3 to 25 µm across 6 pre-set channels (generally 0.3, 0.5, 1, 2, 5 µm). It operates at a flow rate of 0,1 CFM (2,83 l/m).
- It provides data output both in standard cleanroom formats and in mass concentration (ug/m3).
- The possibility to integrate the instrument with temperature and relative humidity probes generates more detailed environmental assessments.
- The firmware is user friendly, and the presence of a pen facilitates the use of the touch screen keyboard.
APPLICATIONS
The most common applications for the handheld particle counter are:
- HEALTHCARE AND SCIENCE: hospitals, research labs, production of pharmaceuticals, biotech products and medical devices.
- AIR QUALITY CONTROL: checking cleanrooms, testing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), and systems for managing heating and air conditioning (HVAC).
- MANUFACTURING AND TECH: in food and beverage industry and high-tech sectors like electronics, semiconductors, and aerospace.
